While painting around his house with a standard "coffee can" paint container, Mark's hand grew tired. To address this issue, he ingeniously crafted a strap from duct tape, giving birth to the Handy Paint Pail.

Featuring a built-in bracket, magnetic brush holder, roller grid, and tool and rag holder, this versatile pail is ideal for any project, whether it's on the ground or up on a ladder. In 2008, Bercom made significant improvements to their existing products and expanded their product range, starting with the color of the pails. Believing that customers should have the option to switch colors frequently, Bercom decided to follow suit. After five years of producing gray pails, they made the bold choice to switch to red.

Following this trend, Bercom revamped the Pro Series Paint Pail, making it lighter, more affordable, and renaming it the Handy Roller Pail. Customers' requests for a way to attach the Roller Pail to a ladder led to the development of the Handy Ladder Hook. Not only does this accessory securely hold the Handy Roller Pail or a standard paint can on any ladder, but it also serves multiple other purposes.

One of Bercom's most successful new products in 2008 was the Handy Paint Cup. This entry-level paint cup got off to a rapid start, offering customers a more affordable alternative to the original Handy Paint Pail. While it may not have all the features of its predecessor, the disposable Handy Paint Cup can hold up to a pint of paint and includes a built-in magnet, making it perfect for trim work and craft projects.
